Milford Landing

If you don't have the time for the cruise but want to see Milford sound from an aerial perspective and from the ground this trip offers everything mentioned on the overflight page plus a landing at the aerodrome with approximately 20/30 minutes on the ground for a brief stroll or photo stop to marvel at the magnificent grandeur and scale of the scenery. With the mountains you have just flown over now towering thousands of feet above you, rising sheer out of the sound, the contrast is breathtaking. After landing at Milford you can choose whether to accompany the pilot for a brief walk through native bush along the boardwalk to the foreshore or relax in the small cafe. All our pilots have undergone rigorous training with our affiliate company The Wakatipu Aero club and provide an interesting and informative commentary.
