Mount Cook Overflight & Franz Joseph or Fox airstrip landings

This trip includes an over flight of the Aoraki Mount Cook national park as detailed on the Mount Cook over flight page but instead of returning directly back to Queenstown the flight descends over west coast rain forest to land at the Fox glacier airstrip.

We are the commercial arm of the Wakatipu Aero club, consequently you can relax in the reassuring knowledge that all our pilots have undergone rigorous training with the Aero club throughout the local mountains and being familiar with the area can provide an interesting and informative commentary. All seats aboard our aircraft are window seats.

After landing at the Fox Glacier airstrip your pilot will accompany you on the short (5minutes) walk to the township where you can relax for 30 minutes and have a coffee or stroll before returning back to the aircraft for the flight along the West coast above beaches and rain forest and surf breaking against the rocks to Queenstown.
